Grand Chase Review

Grand Chase is a rather unique game, At first glance, it looks like a maple story clone, but this couldn't be further from the truth, In fact, had Maple story been done right, It might have ended up like this.

At its core, It plays a lot like a megaman title, 2d sidescroller, anime inspired graphics, fun gameplay.

Its very easy to pick up and play, controls are simple, and the interface while complex, is rather easy to get a hang of. Essentially, There are several levels which you choose from the world map, then after that its just a matter of mashing your way through the stage up until the boss level.

There is a fair amount of character customization, with several options for how you want your character to look depending on your level. One thing that stands out is the fact that your not one certain character, there are in fact several characters you play as, so its not like a traditional mmo where your nameing and playing a character as you like it, but playing through a story, similar to the megaman titles.

One issue I did have, was lag, Because the game is based on p2p connections, if you connected to a game with someone who had less then adequate internet speed, you would notice a lot of lag, or even a possible disconnection.

All in all, It was a very enjoyable title, and I look forward to playing it more in the future. Graphics are nice, gameplay is addictive and fun.
